Privacy Policy

Effective 28 October 2026 · Applies to the Glyka app for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch · This English version is the canonical text.

In short: Glyka doesn't require an account and never sends your data to any server. Readings, medications, notes and profile details are stored only on your device. The app contains no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, and makes no network requests without your consent.

1. Who we are

Glyka is published by [Şirket unvanı], [adres] (the “controller” where data-protection law uses that term). Contact: glyka@appidiso.com.

2. What data, and why

Blood glucose, A1C, weight, blood pressure, insulin and medication entries; profile details such as age, height, sex, diabetes type and the guideline you choose for your target range. We process these on your device only to show you charts, summaries, reports and reminders. Nothing is required to use the app beyond what you choose to enter.

The app also keeps a few technical values on the device (your settings, when you first opened the app, when you logged your first reading) to decide when to show you onboarding hints. These never leave the device.

3. Where data is stored

On your device, in the app's own storage protected by iOS data protection. Glyka has no account system and no server of its own. If you enable the app lock, the app is additionally protected with Face ID / Touch ID; biometric data is handled by iOS and is never available to Glyka.

4. Apple Health

If you turn on the Health connection, only the types you allow are read and written: blood glucose, weight and insulin delivery. This lets readings from a connected CGM or another app appear in Glyka, and lets your Glyka entries appear in Health. Health data is subject to Apple Health's own rules; in line with Apple's requirements it is never used for advertising, marketing, data mining or any purpose other than showing you your own information, and it is never shared with third parties. You can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings › Health › Data Access.

5. iCloud sync (Premium, optional)

If you subscribe to Glyka Premium and turn on iCloud sync, your entries are stored in your own private iCloud database (CloudKit), under your Apple Account, so that your iPhone and iPad show the same records. We cannot read that database; it is encrypted and controlled by Apple's iCloud terms. Turning sync off stops further uploads; deleting your data in the app removes it from your private iCloud database too.

6. Camera meter scan

When you point the camera at your meter, the frames are analysed on the device to read the number on the screen. No photo or video is stored, and nothing is uploaded. The camera runs only while the scan screen is open, and you confirm the value before it is saved.

7. Siri and App Shortcuts

You can log a reading with a phrase such as “Log 112 in Glyka”. Your speech is processed by Apple's Siri under Apple's privacy terms; Glyka receives only the structured result of the shortcut (the value, the unit and, if you said one, the context) and stores it like any other entry. Glyka does not receive audio or transcripts.

8. Tags and notes

Tags, notes, mood and other labels you create are stored on your device with the entry they belong to, and appear in reports only if you include them. They are never analysed outside your device.

9. Notifications and summaries

Reminders (measurements, medication, habits), critical-value follow-ups and the optional daily or weekly summary notification are scheduled and generated locally on your device; there is no push server. By default the lock-screen text shows only the reminder, not your values; you can change what a summary shows in the app's notification settings. iOS controls whether notifications appear at all.

10. Sharing is in your hands

PDF and CSV reports are created on the device and are only shared with the person you choose, when you start the sharing through the iOS share sheet. We don't sell, rent or share your data with anyone.

11. No tracking, no third parties

Glyka contains no advertising, analytics, attribution or crash-reporting SDKs and does not track you across apps or websites. The only network activity is Apple's own: App Store purchases, iCloud sync if you enable it, and opening links you tap. This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics.

12. Retention and deletion

Entries stay on the device until you delete them. You can delete individual entries, or permanently delete everything with Settings › Delete all my data. Deleting the app also deletes all data on that device (and, if sync was on, you can remove the iCloud copy from the app before deleting, or through iOS Settings › Apple Account › iCloud).

13. Purchases

Glyka Premium is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment and tells the app only whether a subscription is active; we never see your payment details or Apple Account.

14. Children

Glyka is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. A parent or guardian may use the app to keep a log for a child under their own supervision; the data stays on the parent's device.

15. United Kingdom (UK GDPR)

Controller: [Şirket unvanı], [adres]. Health data is special-category data; our lawful basis is your explicit consent (UK GDPR Art. 9(2)(a)), which you give when you enter data and can withdraw at any time. Your rights: access, rectification, erasure (Delete all my data), portability (CSV export), objection to processing and withdrawal of consent. Because your data stays on your device, you can exercise most of these rights directly in the app. You may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). We do not sell consumer health data and we do not use geofencing. Your rights: to know what data is held, to access it, to delete it and to withdraw consent. Requests: glyka@appidiso.com.
